Why are some amphibians (frogs)?

It is important to maintain biodiversity in ecosystems because there are more individuals alive if something goes wrong like an extinction event of catastrophe. For example, if all corn grows to the exact same height and a flood comes in and drowns them all, they will become extinct. However, if they are all shapes, sizes and heights, then the tallest will survive. Its how evolution works
