Cpvc pipe taps for washer with shutoff valves?

I'm running cpvc hot and cold water lines to my downstairs garage to install a new washing machine. I have ran lines on copper water systems before and just put a threaded 90 on the end and attached a water faucet to it, apparently you can't do that with cpvc. What am I supposed to use? A 90 to send the pipe out the wall a shutoff valve and then a threaded adapter to screw the water supply lines for the washing machine to? Or is there something else I can use? Thanks.
