Has customer service gone away ?

At grocery stores the clerk usually doesn't say hello or good-bye or thank you and usually they are chatting with the bag boy anyways . Restaurants I get snooty waiters/waitresses that take their sweet time and mess up any special order. Fast food people don't even look at me or say anything but how much my total is . Retail , I can barely get anyone to help me and when I do they don't know anything and sometimes rude. Yet people come into my retail store and expect/demand the utmost highest customer service . Why is that ? Why when you go anywhere else and get treated like crap, do you expect gold treatment at a smaller business ? Blah I'm just bored and ranting . I hate 75% of customers too, they get more rude every day , but I atleast try to be nice . If you aren't happy being in retail, food service etc, find a new job, customer service is not for everyone.
