Absolutely no Idea what's going on?

Sorry this is gonna be long but a couple weeks ago i found out that my best friend who is a girl has liked me for a couple months. Now we liked each other over the summer but long story short we both ended up getting into long relationships with other people. Hers ended in February and mine did in the beginning of May. So were both single we both like each other and we even unofficially decided when we would go out. But last week she just stops talking to may for a couple days. Says shes not over her ex. They got in a big fight and she said she's done with him ( she's said this too many times to count). So does she still like me? Does she just have feelings for him and me? Should I ask her out?
