I have swimmers ear, help!?

So i have had it since Tuesday I was using eardrops then the pain was unmanageable so I went to the docter and he gave me a new perscription yesterday and i only had the chance to put them in once cause I didn't get home until 4 ( he said 4x a day 5 days 3 drops per ear) and now I have a party today at 4, and right now the pain is making cry and I just took an ibprophan which makes the pain less painful. Also I can't hear anything out of my right ear so I was wondering if I could put alchoul in my ear to drain the water out and then follow up with my ear drops. Doing that, will it make my ear feal better before the party? I might also repeat the same thing at 3 to help it not hurt at the party. Does that sound resonable?
