What is the difference between a zombie and a ghoul?
Ghouls will eat dead and living people without any discrepancy. If you've seen any zombie movies, they usually don't prey on each other. You see they have a third eye that grows on the back of their left hand. It's very bizarre. If you look closely at some of these movies you'll notice. Anyhow. A zombie does not develop this third eye-left hand. It therefore only recognizes living human beings as food. The third eye-left hand, however, is this incredibly evolutionary tool. It allows the "dead being" to recognize that a rotting corpse still provides nutritional enhancement. The ghoul therefore will consider a dead human and a living human to be equally nutritionally satisfying while a zombie will only chase after a living human. I hope this answers your question - and keep in mind that if a ghoul is attacking you, "playing dead" will not provide you any benefit, as their third eye-left hand will give you away. Good luck, and good day.
