This IS unprecedented?

Since McCain got the nomination, George Bush hasn't made one single campaign stop for any Republican candidate. Are even the Republicans doing their best to distance themselves from this disastrous administration? Don't any of you waste time with the "he's not running for office" routine. This IS unprecedented for a sitting President to do ABSOLUTELY no campaigning for ANY candidate.
