I was wondering if amyone knew of a music software that you can easily create music on?

HELP!!! I really need a good software to create music on. For example i play the guitar and piano so ineed a software that will help with my music. I am into music such as Aly and Aj so that genre is what i'm looking for!! Basically just pop rock. mainly pop!!! so please someone help me!!! I was looking into cakewalk but people say it takes alot of time and is difficult so i need something easier and less time consuming but either way as long as it is a good program and lets me do what i'm looking for i'll be satisfied. Thanks!!!
