How do I clean shoe scuff marks from linoleum?

Mr. Clean sells an eraser that you dampen then use. I have used it to remove scuff marks from laminate floors and baseboards. very inexpensive found in cleaning products aisle. Or maybe try a little cooking oil on a sponge then clean well with a detergent.
